The 2017 St. Louis Eclipse Task force worked for three years to prepare the St. Louis region for the August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse.    With the historic eclipse now behind us (wasn't it spectacular) and all of our goals met, the task force work has been discontinued.  Many thanks to the more than 160 organizations that included schools, cities, parks, associations and businesses that helped make the St. Louis Task Force work a success.

The next total solar eclipse visible from Missouri and Illinois will be on April 8, 2024.  Unfortunately for the metro St. Louis area, we will only experience a "partial" eclipse.  The good news is that metro St. Louis area residents can drive just a short distance to view the 2024 total solar eclipse.   It is likely that our St. Louis area will form another eclipse task force to prepare for this major eclipse opportunity.  Stay tuned!!!
